FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Welcome to The Catalyst, our revamped IMD newsletter. The layout has changed, but the goal remains the same: to highlight the visionary and inspirational work happening every day here in the District. This is just one example of how we're changing the way we tell the story of one of the nation's largest urban medical districts.

You've probably also noticed our new look. As we move forward with this new chapter, we thought it was important that our logo reflect the core values of the IMD, while celebrating our roots.

The new IMD logo proudly taps into the heritage of the City of Chicago. The rounded points provide a modern-day interpretation of the City's iconic star, with points of overlap representing collaboration among the healthcare innovators within the IMD.

Together, IMD partners accelerate discovery and commercialization that is reshaping the practice of medicine, generating prosperity for everyone. We're so thankful to have you all as partners. We look forward to big things in the second half of 2017 and beyond!

CTA BLUE LINE RENOVATION

The CTA has postponed the re-opening of the Damen entrance at the IMD Blue Line station. During the scheduled renovation, additional work was identified as having been caused by a storm last year. Early indications from the general contractor are that the station entrance will re-open in late summer or early fall. We will notify our IMD partners once a definitive date is provided. If you have questions or concerns, please contact Mike Ivanovic, Project Manager with the CTA.
